教学内容分析:
   定语从句是高中语法教学中较重要的一部分,但是我们一般在教学中较注重它的基本结构,而容易忽视它真正的语用功能。本次课的教学内容为定语从句的复习课,强调定语从句的应用,改变以往传统的语法教学模式,不再把重点放在理论和结构。而是基于高三学生较丰富的词汇量和一定的语言表达能力,通过设计各种与定语从句有关的语境,层层递进,由简到难,(如从短语、到句子再到语篇),使学生体会到定语从句就是帮助我们限定、描绘或区分语言表达中的人和事物的。在安排教学内容(即定语从句的应用)时,遵循学生的认知规律和最近发展区,运用逆向思维法,使每一个活动都为下一个活动服务,使最后的输出顺利而有效。
学情分析:
   本次课的教学对象为高三学生,在过去两年的学习中,通过教师的讲解和许多书面练习,学生们对定语从句的基本结构或多或少有所了解,但是却并未真正体会到它的语用功能。正是基于此原因,并且考虑到高三学生已经储备了较大的词汇量,也有了一定的语言表达能力,本次定语从句教学定位为复习课,注重培养学生在不同层次的语境下,运用定语从句的能力。
教学过程说明:
首先,教师设计了一个Guessing Game, 请学生猜测身边的人和物,如:Do
you know the year when/in which Shanghai will host the World Expo? / She is the teacher who/that is in charge of our class. 通过这个活动,既进行了简单的引入,又让学生很快体会到了定语从句的语用功能,即限定和描绘我们要表达的人或事物。
然后,教师设计了单句填空练习,旨在帮助学生能在不同的情况下,熟练运
用定语从句的关系词,并在学生真正练习前作了简单的例题示范,使学生能在教师的帮助下较好地运用关系词。在完成了单句填空练习后,教师又安排了在语篇中填写定语从句关系词的练习,提供较大难度的语境,使学生在前面单句练习的基础上更上一个台阶,学会在语篇中灵活应用关系词。
       接下来,教师逐渐增加练习的难度,由原来单一的关系词的应用扩大到关系词后的整个定语从句的应用练习,并更突出定语从句的语用功能,通过教师的示范,要求学生在教师的帮助和引导下,发挥自己的想象力,用定语从句描绘身边的人和事,如:The year 2008,__________________, made it possible for foreigners to look at China differently.
       通过以上层层递进的活动,教师又设计了两个较短语篇的练习,要求学生在中文的提示下,完成包括先行词和关系词在内的整个定语从句,而两个语篇的内容是学生所熟悉和感兴趣的“self-introduction和our dreams”。
       最后,请学生充分利用定语从句的语用功能,模仿教师所示范的内容,根据自己的情况,自由谈谈“self-introduction和my dream”。
       本节课的作业为完成定语从句中译英和完整写下以定语从句为主要表现手段的“self-introduction和my dream”,目的在于巩固课内所学的知识,更熟练地在不同的语境中应用定语从句。
       整个教案在活动设计中始终遵循层层递进和突出定语从句语用功能的原则,并在学生活动过程中提供word box, 消除了学生在运用定语从句时遇到的词汇障碍。
