Career Preparation (Worksheet)
I.  Read Bob’s letter
      Dear Peter,
How are you getting along recently? I have been missing you very much.
I’m low in spirits these days! I feel depressed about my work. The question is hanging over my head all the time whether this hopeless and dull routine work will be the way for the rest of my life. Sometimes I go to the dark end of the shelves, press my forehead against the wall and bury myself in a few moments of quiet disappointment. You can’t imagine how time drags in the workplace. I have to surf the Internet to kill time. To make matters worse, all the colleagues around are absorbed in their own work and seem to be indifferent to my existence. I have never felt close to any of them.
The dead-end job is sucking every bit of energy from my body and I’m trying to forget about tomorrow and all the tomorrows that will follow. Sorry, Peter. Maybe my low spirits have somewhat scared you. Anyway, I will try to cheer up.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
                            Yours sincerely,
Bob
